Instructions
Working time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 6 hours; Total time approx. 7 hours
Very easy in the slow cooker
Peel the raw potatoes and onions and cut into 0.5-1 cm thick slices, wash the bell peppers and cut into small cubes. Cut the pork neck into 1-2 cm thick slices and rub them with the BBQ rub on both sides. Line the slow cooker with bacon in a star shape, so that the bacon extends over the edge. Layer onions, then meat, then potatoes and some bell peppers, then more meat, and so on until it’s all used up. If there are any leftover vegetables, simply place them on top. Now fold the bacon that extends over the edge over the top. Finally, pour a good splash of BBQ sauce, about 300 ml or a little more, over everything and close the lid. Let the slow cooker cook for 5-7 hours on high or 10-12 hours on low. Baguette or bread rolls go perfectly with this. This recipe is suitable for a 3.5 l crockpot.
