Leberkäse baked

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 6 slice(s) Leberkäse (small slices)
  • 3 large tomatoes
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • some stalks of chives or spring onions
  • 3 slices of medium-aged Gouda
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Wash the tomatoes, quarter them, remove the seeds, and cut into small cubes. Dice the onion, press the garlic, and finely chop the chives or spring onions. Mix everything in a bowl and season with salt and pepper. If you like it spicier, you can also add a finely chopped bell pepper or chili pepper. Place the Leberkäse on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, spread the tomato mixture on top, and top each with half a slice of cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 150°C (convection oven or electric oven) until the cheese has melted (about 10 minutes). I always serve it with mashed potatoes. I usually use them from a packet, since this is a very quick recipe.
