Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 slice(s) Leberkäse, approx. 1.5 cm thick
  • 2 slices of sandwich toast
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 1 small gherkin(s)
  • 2 tbsp mustard, sweet
  • Sunflower oil
  • some butter
  • Salt and pepper, black, from the mill

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 17 minutes

Peel the onion and slice into rings. Stir-fry the onion rings in sunflower oil until golden brown. Drain the fried onions on kitchen paper. Cut the gherkin lengthwise into thin slices. Brown the Leberkäse on both sides in a little sunflower oil. Cook a fried egg seasoned with salt and pepper in a little butter. Meanwhile, toast the slices of bread. Spread the mustard on one side of each slice. Place the gherkin, Leberkäse, onions, and finally the egg on one slice, and fold the sandwich closed. Finally, cut the Leberkäse sandwich diagonally and serve immediately.
