Leek vegetables with sour cream

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 g leek
  • some butter
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp, heaped sour cream
  • Nutmeg, freshly grated
  • Salt and pepper from the mill

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

light vegetable side dish, delicious with roasted meat

Trim and finely chop the leek, then wash it thoroughly. Drain the vegetables well. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the leek, season, stir, and sauté lightly. Sprinkle the flour over the leek, mix well, and sauté over low heat for a few minutes. Add a little water. Bring to a boil and simmer gently until tender. Once the vegetables are tender, remove the pan from the heat and stir in the sour cream. Do not let it boil any further, or it will curdle. We love it with pan-fried meat and sausages.
