Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg plum(s) or damsons
  • 3 m.-sized apples
  • 3 m.-sized pear(s)
  • 10 g gingerbread spice
  • 1 pack of gelling sugar
  • 50 g marzipan
  • 1 lemon(s), the juice
  • n. B. Cinnamon powder
  • Water

Instructions

Working time approx. 50 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 54 minutes

Christmas jam with plums, apples and pears

Wash, core, or stone the plums, apples, and pears, and cut into pieces. Cut the marzipan into cubes. Place all the fruit pieces in a saucepan with the marzipan and simmer with a little water until soft. While still warm, puree or sieve as desired. Add the gingerbread spice (and cinnamon, if desired) and bring to a boil. Stir constantly to prevent burning. Then add the gelling sugar and cook for about 4 minutes while stirring. Fill to the brim into hot, rinsed twist-off jars and turn upside down to cool. This jam has been tested by friends and relatives and makes a great little gift during Advent.
