Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 200 ml whipped cream
- salt and pepper
- some sugar
- 50 g butter
- 1 dash of lemon juice
- 1 pinch of saffron
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Combine the heavy cream with salt, pepper, sugar, and butter in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Add a generous squeeze of lemon juice and stir in the saffron. Let the sauce stand on the turned-off stovetop, whisk vigorously, and season to taste. The sauce is delicious with fish, asparagus, and new potatoes.
