Lemon chive sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 100 g butter
  • 100 ml crème fraîche or sour cream
  • 100 ml cream
  • ½ lemon(s)
  • 1 tsp, heaped vegetable stock
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • 1 tsp sauce thickener
  • 1 salt
  • 1 pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

First, finely chop the chives. Melt the butter over low heat, add the crème fraîche and cream, and then stir in the vegetable stock. Squeeze the lemon and add it slowly while stirring. Finally, stir in the chives and, if the sauce is too thin, add the sauce thickener. Season to taste with salt and pepper. This sauce goes well with both meat and pasta.
