Lemon Gugelhüpfer with Poppy Seeds

The perfect lemon gugelhüpfer with poppy seeds recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 150 g Soft butter
  • 120 g Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 150 g Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 4 tbsp Blue poppy
  • 4 tbsp Lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 tbsp Lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp Milk
  1. Mix the softened butter with the sugar until frothy. Gradually add the eggs and keep stirring. Mix the flour with the pinch of salt, baking powder, lemon zest and poppy seeds and mix alternately with the lemon juice with the butter.
  2. Mix everything well and, if necessary, add 1 – 2 tablespoons of milk. The dough can be a little more liquid.
  3. Grease a silicone mold for Mini_Gugelhüpfer with butter and fill in the dough and then bake in an oven preheated to 170 degrees for about 20-25 minutes. Let cool in the mold and then remove.
