Lemon salt

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 lemon(s), organic
  • 4 tbsp, coarse-grained sea salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Pour salt into a bowl. Brush the lemons thoroughly under hot water and then dry them. Preheat oven to 150 degrees Celsius (300 degrees Fahrenheit). Grate the yellow part of the lemon peel over the salt in the bowl using a fine grater. Mix the salt and lemon peel thoroughly and spread on a baking sheet. Let the sheet dry on the middle rack for about 15 minutes (with a wooden spoon in the door). This yields approximately 60g of lemon-salt mixture. Grind in a coffee grinder until finely ground. Pour into a tightly sealed jar and enjoy this versatile salt. While it dries, the whole apartment will smell very Mediterranean…wonderful! For grilling, on bread, as a seasoning for roasted meat, for fish dishes, in vegetable stir-fries, for salads, raw vegetables, breakfast eggs, boiled potatoes, Mediterranean dishes…
