Lentils with garlic oil

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 600 g lentils, red
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 6 cloves garlic, large
  • 5 tbsp oil (corn oil)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Masar Dal

Sort and wash the lentils. Bring the turmeric and lentils to a boil in 1.25 liters of water. Cook over medium heat for 25-45 minutes until soft. Whisk until smooth. Season with salt. Peel and slice the garlic. Heat oil in a small pan and fry the garlic until light brown for 1-2 minutes. Pour the garlic oil over the lentil puree and stir to combine.
