- 2 cups buttermilk

Sheet cake, buttermilk cake, quick and easy
Combine 2 cups buttermilk, 2 eggs, 1.5 cups sugar, 4 cups flour, and 1.5 tbsp baking powder and spread on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet. Mix 1.5 cups ground nuts (or almonds or desiccated coconut) and 1 cup sugar together and spread on the batter. Bake together at 210°C (fan oven: 180°C/gas mark 4-5) for about 20 minutes. Immediately after baking, pour the cream over the hot cake, spreading it evenly over the entire surface. Tips: This cake is quick and easy to make, always turns out well, and everyone has loved it so far. Children especially love it if you use desiccated coconut instead of nuts.
