Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 2 pieces of fresh pork belly, approx. 800g each
  • salt and pepper
  • Spice(s), to taste

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 5 minutes

Frying fresh bacon, simple, inexpensive, delicious

Have the butcher cut the bacon so that it can be placed neatly on either side of the oven. This means each side should be roughly the same width. Rub it liberally on all sides with salt, pepper, and your choice of spices. Place it on a baking sheet and roast in a preheated oven at 140 degrees Celsius for 3 hours. Rotate the roast 90 degrees every half hour. Remove and carve it. The roast tastes good hot, warm, or cold. It’s also great for parties!
