Lithuanian-style apple pie

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg apples (Boskoop or Cox Orange)
  • 100 g semolina
  • 200 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 200 g cream
  • 125 g butter
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Peel the apples, remove the cores, and chop them. Mix the ingredients, from semolina to cinnamon, thoroughly. Layer the apples alternately with the flour and semolina mixture in a springform pan. The first and last layer is the flour and semolina mixture. Heat the cream, butter, and sugar until the butter has melted. Let cool slightly and pour into the pan. Bake for approximately 60 minutes at 180°C (top/bottom heat).
