Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 120 ml oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 200 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 135 ml water
  • 1 liter of water
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1,000 g apples
  • 2 packets of vanilla pudding powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Sponge cake: Whisk sugar, vanilla sugar, oil, egg yolks, flour, baking powder, and water until frothy. Whisk egg whites and fold in. Spread batter onto a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (top/bottom heat) for about 30 minutes until golden brown. Topping: Briefly boil sliced, cored apples with water and sugar, then stir in the custard powder (mixed with a little of the reserved water). Spread onto the cooled sponge cake and chill. Serve with whipped cream and cinnamon sugar, as desired!
