Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g liver sausage, homemade
  • 1 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 1 pepper, red, maybe more, depending on spiciness and taste
  • 4 onions
  • 6 gherkins
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tsp mustard, medium hot
  • 100 ml water
  • some marjoram, fresh or dried

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

for all who love liverwurst, also a good way to use up leftovers

Peel the liverwurst, peel and roughly dice the onions, finely dice the gherkins, deseed the peppers and slice them into thin rings. Sauté the diced onions in rapeseed oil until golden brown, add the pepper rings and mustard, and cook while stirring. Now add the liverwurst. Break up the sausage while stirring, pour in the water, and add the gherkins. Heat everything while stirring. Season with salt, pepper, and chopped marjoram. Sauerkraut goes very well with this.
