Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 m.-sized eggs, room temperature
  • 120 g butter, room temperature
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 300 g wheat flour type 405
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 100 g dark chocolate, chopped into small pieces
  • e.g. milk
  • e.g. powdered sugar
  • Butter and breadcrumbs for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 55 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

for a loaf pan 30 x 11 cm, height 7 cm

Grease the loaf pan with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top and bottom heat). Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff. Cream the butter and sugar until creamy, then add the egg yolks, one at a time. Mix the baking powder with the flour and stir into the creamy mixture, along with the chocolate chips and, if the batter is too stiff, a little milk. Finally, fold in the beaten egg whites. Pour the batter into the loaf pan and bake for 45-55 minutes. Do the skewer test! Remove the cake from the oven and let it rest in the pan for 10 minutes. Only then remove it from the pan and let it cool on a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
