Slimming World recipe

Finely chop the onion and parsley. Remove any fat from the bacon. Place the onion, minced meat, and parsley in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well with your hands. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each into a burger patty. Chill the patties on a plate for 30 minutes. Heat a large frying pan. Place the patties in the pan and cook for 1 minute on each side. Reduce the heat and cook for 5 minutes, turning frequently, until cooked through. Set aside and keep warm. Add a little water to the pan and add the bacon slices. Cook/fry over high heat. The water prevents the bacon slices from shrinking too much. Once browned or crispy, remove them and set aside on kitchen paper. Thinly slice the cucumber and tomatoes, and thinly slice the onion. Mix the mayonnaise and quark well and spread on both halves of the buns. Top with the lettuce, onion rings, cucumber, tomato, patties, and bacon. Serve with French fries (see my recipes: “Reduced-calorie French fries” and “Homemade low-calorie ketchup”), sweet potato wedges (see my recipe “Low-calorie spicy sweet potato wedges”), and/or a large salad. You can also grill the patties and bacon. A premium burger with almost no calories. You have to treat yourself every now and then!
