Low-carb Big Mac casserole

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g minced beef
  • 250 g tomatoes
  • 120 g processed cheese slice(s)
  • 120 g cheese, grated
  • 100 g gherkins
  • 200 g crème fraîche
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • e.g. salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Slice the tomatoes and cucumbers. Mix the crème fraîche with tomato paste and a little salt and pepper, and mix well. Heat a pan and brown the minced meat, if possible without oil, and season with salt and pepper. Place the minced meat in a casserole dish and spread the crème fraîche sauce over it. Then arrange the cucumber slices and the melted cheese slices on top. Place the tomato slices on top and sprinkle with the grated cheese. Place the whole thing in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 15 minutes. Tip: If desired, you can chop up some iceberg lettuce and serve the casserole on top.
