Low Carb Cauliflower Pizza Base
The perfect low carb cauliflower pizza base recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 600 g Frozen cauliflower
- 200 g Grated cheese, I like to take Emmental
- 3 Eggs
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic
- Herbs
- Preheat the oven to 220 degrees in an old oven without convection. Use less heat and time with circulating air. It is crucial that the soil becomes crispy. 🙂 Cook the cauliflower with a little salt. When it is soft, let it cool down under cold water, put small portions in a kitchen towel, wring the water out so that the base can be crispy while baking (otherwise it will be mushy).
- Put the “squashed” and wrung out cauliflower in a bowl, mix in the remaining ingredients and stir everything. I like to knead everything by hand, because you can mix the dough really well.
- Line the tray with baking paper, pour a little oil over it and press the dough thinly into all corners with your hand. Bake the dough on the top third of the oven for a good 40-50 minutes until it is brown.
- Then top with tomato macaroni and the desired ingredients and bake for another 15 minutes. A pizza cream made from crème fraîche and tartar sauce and fresh rocket are ideal for serving – yummy!
