Low-carb sandwich

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 20 g oat bran
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 45 g quark, also low-fat quark
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • some salt and spices of your choice
  • 1 tbsp cream cheese
  • 1 slice(s) ham or other sausage
  • 1 slice(s) cheese

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 19 minutes

Put the oat bran and baking powder in a microwave-safe bowl and mix. Add the quark and egg and mix. Mix with salt and spices and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Cover and place in the microwave for 3 minutes. Then take it out, turn it over, and heat uncovered for about a minute. If you like, you can toast it again, but I cut it in half, spread it with cream cheese, put sausage and cheese on top, and put it in the sandwich toaster. If the toast can’t be turned over, take the mixture out and, upside down, press it lightly against the bowl with a spoon. It tastes delicious and the toast only has 7g of carbs.
