Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg pear(s), weighed and chopped
  • 1 package of gelling sugar, 2:1
  • 1 pinch of citric acid

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel and halve the pears, removing the cores. Cut the fruit into small pieces and weigh them again; they should weigh 1 kg. Then puree with a hand blender until no pieces remain. Place in a tall saucepan with 500 g of gelling sugar and bring to a rolling boil, stirring continuously, for about 3-4 minutes. While still hot, pour into jars, immediately cover with twist-off lids, and let stand upside down for a few minutes.
