Macaroni casserole

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g pasta (macaroni)
  • 2 liters of water
  • 6 slice(s) ham, cooked
  • 150 g leek
  • 3 eggs
  • 200 ml milk
  • butter
  • Salt
  • breadcrumbs

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Break the macaroni into finger-length pieces, bring the water to a boil, sprinkle with salt, cook the pasta until al dente, rinse, and drain. Cut the ham into small cubes. Trim and wash the leeks, cut into strips, and briefly cook in the pasta water. Mix the pasta with the ham, grease a baking dish with butter, and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Layer the pasta, ham, and leeks alternately in the dish. Beat the eggs, mix with the milk, and pour over the casserole. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Sprinkle with butter, cover, and bake in a preheated oven at 225°C – 250°C. Bake for 30 minutes. Serve with tomato salad.
