This is how you succeed in making your own applesauce

You can prepare your own applesauce in just a few steps. A lot of skill is not required:

  1. Peel the apples and cut them into small cubes.
  2. For one kilogram of apples, put around 80 milliliters of water in a saucepan. Depending on your taste, add two to five tablespoons of sugar. You can refine the whole thing with up to two vanilla beans and cinnamon sticks. You can also bring a shot of white wine or a few cloves to the boil.
  3. Then add the apple pieces. Stir everything and put the lid on. Now cook the mass on low heat for about 20 minutes.
  4. Then remove the cloves, cinnamon sticks, and vanilla beans if you added them. The applesauce should only absorb the aroma of the ingredients.
  5. Then puree the apples with a blender until you can see the applesauce.
  6. You can then fill the apple sauce into bowls and serve immediately.
