Cook Applesauce Without a Saucepan – This Is How It Works

Boil applesauce: This is how it works without a preserving pot

Preserving apples makes them last longer. If you want to make applesauce but don’t have a preserving pot at home, you can still do it with the following ingredients and utensils:

  • 2 kg of apples
  • 150 grams of sugar
  • 200ml of water
  • 1 lemon
  • cooking pot
  • blender
  • mason jars

How to turn your apples into applesauce

As soon as you have all the ingredients and utensils together, you can start crafting.

  1. First, peel all the apples. Then cut each apple into four pieces and remove the core.
  2. Then cut each piece into small cubes.
  3. Then put the apple pieces in a saucepan with the water and sugar and heat the ingredients over medium-high heat.
  4. Then cover the pot with a lid and let the mixture stew until the apples soften.
  5. As soon as the apples are soft, you can puree them with a hand blender. Then add the sugar and lemon juice to the pureed apples and let the mixture boil up briefly.
  6. Then fill the finished apple sauce into your sterile preserving jars and immediately screw on the lid. If you store the homemade applesauce in a cool and dark place, it can be kept for about a year.
