Making chocolate yourself is very easy and requires only a few ingredients. We present three different recipes with which you can make delicious chocolate yourself.
Make your own milk chocolate
To make delicious whole milk chocolate yourself, you need 50 grams of cocoa butter or coconut oil, 30 grams of baking cocoa, 20 grams of whole milk powder, 30 grams of powdered sugar, and the pulp of a vanilla pod. For the production of white chocolate, baking cocoa is simply left out. To make dark chocolate, the whole milk powder is left out and 50 grams of baking cocoa are used.
- First, heat some water in a saucepan and put a melting pot in it. Now melt the cocoa butter in this until it is free of lumps. You should also be careful that no water gets into the melting pot.
- When the cocoa butter has melted, you can take the pot off the stove and add all the other ingredients and stir the mass until creamy. The chocolate mixture should then be heated again in a water bath.
- Now have a silicone mold for chocolate or a baking tray ready and spread the mass. After an hour in the fridge, the chocolate should be firm enough to pop out of the mold.
- Tip: Nuts or dried fruit can of course be added to enhance the chocolate.
Healthy chocolate made from just three ingredients
For healthy chocolate made from just three ingredients, you need 45 grams of cocoa butter, 45 grams of almond butter, and 12 grams of baking cocoa for one bar.
- Again, the cocoa butter should first be melted in a water bath.
- Now take the cocoa butter off the heat and stir in the almond butter and cocoa with a whisk.
- The liquid mass can now be poured back into a chocolate mold and stored in the freezer for at least ten minutes or in the fridge for a longer period of time.
- Tip: Dry fruits such as raisins, goji berries, or cranberries can be added to sweeten the sugar-free chocolate. You can also experiment with spices like cinnamon.
Make two-tone chocolate or chocolate with filling
To make chocolate with a filling, you first need any base for the chocolate again. Whether you use white, whole milk, or dark chocolate is up to you.
- For chocolate with a filling, first put a thin layer of the chocolate base in the mold. Possible fillings include jam, peanut butter, or caramel. The filling is now placed on top of the chocolate layer and covered with chocolate again.
- For two-tone chocolate, you first need two basic chocolates.
- If you opt for dark and white chocolate, for example, you can first put a few sprinkles of white chocolate in the mold.
- Put the mold in the freezer or in the fridge for some time before adding the second chocolate so that the two types don’t mix.
