Make ice cream without an ice cream maker: This is how it works in just 15 minutes

With a little trick, you can make the ice cream in just 15 minutes. We’ll show you how easy it is:

  • Take one large and two small sealable ice packs. In one of the small bags, add a cup of condensed milk and a tablespoon of sugar. Also, drip a bit of vanilla flavoring into the bag.
  • Add about six tablespoons of salt to the large bag, then fill it about half full with ice cubes. The salt allows you to make the ice cream faster.
  • Now insert the filled small ice pack into the other small one and then place them tightly closed in the large bag. Close this one.
  • Now use a towel to take the large bag in your hand and shake it vigorously. After about 15 minutes you will have vanilla ice cream that you can spoon up immediately.

Make ice cream without an ice cream maker: recipe for delicious varieties

There are countless ways to make ice cream yourself and discover new flavors in the process. It can be done quickly and inexpensively with a standard mixer, for example:

  • For delicious ice cream, first, mix cold milk with cream and powdered sugar.
  • Then throw in frozen fruit, cocoa, or vanilla. Or try everything at the same time – there are no limits to your imagination when making ice cream.
  • To bind the mass, you should also add an egg yolk. Add a little salt.
  • Once blended, you can transfer the ice cream into a large container and freeze it as usual (see freezing tips below).

Sounds weird, but it works: making ice cream on the stove

Especially if you want to make fruit ice cream or sorbets, you should reach for the pot and your stove. Here we show you how to make particularly fruity ice cream:

  1. Chop up your favorite fruit, such as pineapple, and place the pieces in a saucepan.
  2. Puree the fruit to create a smooth mass.
  3. Add 300 ml of water and 200 to 300 grams of sugar and bring to a boil.
  4. Now squeeze 3-4 lemons and 5-6 oranges and mix this with the pineapple-sugar mixture. Tip: Depending on the fruit, other juices are also suitable. Tip for impatient ice cream lovers: Alternatively, you can also use store-bought juice.
  5. Pour the cooled mixture into a bowl and place in the freezer (see freezing tips below). After a few hours, you will have delicious fruit ice cream.

Tips for freezing without an ice cream maker – you have to consider this

If you opt for the variant without an ice cream maker, then you have to pay attention to a few things when freezing. We will show you what you should pay attention to if you want the ice cream to succeed.

  • After you put the ice in the freezer, wait little until the ice freezes a little. Take it out again after 20 to 30 minutes and beat the mixture well with a whisk.
  • You have to repeat this process until the ice cream is creamy and completely frozen. Ice cream preparation can therefore take a few hours, usually three to four hours.
  • Tip: Use a shallow bowl, because then the ice cream can freeze faster.
  • Make sure your freezer is at the right temperature, otherwise ice cream fun could take forever.
