If you want to make marzipan potatoes yourself, you will need 250 g powdered sugar, 250 g raw marzipan mixture, 2 tbsp amaretto, 1 tsp cinnamon, and 2 tbsp cocoa powder.

  1. Sieve the icing sugar and knead it well with the raw marzipan mixture. There should be no lumps of icing sugar in the batter.
  2. Now mix the Amaretto into the dough and knead everything until it is malleable and sufficiently moist.
  3. Now remove walnut-sized lumps from the marzipan mass and let them circle between the palms of your hands until small balls form.
  4. Sift the cinnamon and cocoa powder together onto a plate. Roll the marzipan balls in it until they are evenly covered.
  5. Strain the excess sticking sugar from the ball by placing the potato on a sieve and shaking gently.
