Make marzipan potatoes yourself – that’s how it works
If you want to make marzipan potatoes yourself, you will need 250 g powdered sugar, 250 g raw marzipan mixture, 2 tbsp amaretto, 1 tsp cinnamon, and 2 tbsp cocoa powder.
- Sieve the icing sugar and knead it well with the raw marzipan mixture. There should be no lumps of icing sugar in the batter.
- Now mix the Amaretto into the dough and knead everything until it is malleable and sufficiently moist.
- Now remove walnut-sized lumps from the marzipan mass and let them circle between the palms of your hands until small balls form.
- Sift the cinnamon and cocoa powder together onto a plate. Roll the marzipan balls in it until they are evenly covered.
- Strain the excess sticking sugar from the ball by placing the potato on a sieve and shaking gently.
