Make your own crispy chicken nuggets

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg chicken breast fillet(s) (plain, unseasoned)
  • 5 cup(s) cornflakes, unsweetened!
  • 2 eggs
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • 2 cups flour
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

First, prepare the breading. Place the unsweetened cornflakes in a freezer bag and crush them with a rolling pin. The cornflakes will later give them that super crispy crust. Whisk the eggs with paprika, salt, and pepper. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and then coat them in flour, shaking off any excess. Dip the pieces of meat in the egg mixture and then in the cornflake coating. Fry the breaded chicken nuggets in a pan with plenty of vegetable oil until golden brown on all sides. They need about 2-3 minutes on each side, and then they’re done. They taste best with a fresh salad. They can be eaten hot or cold.
