Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 8 mandarin oranges, untreated
  • 200 g brown sugar
  • 3 star anise
  • 4 cardamom pods, crushed
  • 150 ml vodka, or wheat grain

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Wash 3 fruits and peel as thinly as possible. Halve all fruits. Squeeze out the juice, add it to a saucepan with the sugar, star anise, cardamom, and tangerine peel, and bring to a boil. Reduce to a syrup in 6-8 minutes. Strain the syrup through a sieve and stir in the alcohol. Pour the liqueur into one large or several small bottles and seal. Makes approximately 500 ml. Keeps for 2-3 months if stored in a cool, dark place.
