Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g almond(s) (almond leaves)
  • 350 g sugar
  • 4 apples (preferably Boskop), chopped
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 tonka bean(s), cut
  • 1 vanilla pod(s), split
  • 200 g raisins
  • 1 bottle of schnapps (fruit schnapps of your choice)
  • possibly rock sugar if needed

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Heat the almond flakes and sugar over low heat until the sugar caramelizes and the almonds turn light brown. Add the apples and fry everything together on low heat until soft. Pour the apple and almond mixture into a wide-necked bottle. Add the raisins, cinnamon stick, star anise, sliced ​​tonka bean, and split vanilla pod, and top with the fruit brandy. Strain after four weeks and add a little more rock candy if it’s not sweet enough.
