Mango Lassi for Germans

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g buttermilk
  • 1 mango(s) (or a can of mangos)
  • lemon juice
  • Sugar
  • Vanilla
  • possibly berries

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Peel and dice the mango, or open the can and drain the water. Puree with the buttermilk and season with a squeeze of lemon, a dash of vanilla, and sugar. Pour into glasses and garnish with a few berries, such as blackberries. Lassi is called “for Germans” because in India this drink is usually made with yogurt and water, and buttermilk is rather unusual.
