First, finely dice the onion and sauté it in a little oil. Then add the tomatoes and season the tomato sauce with vegetable stock, salt, and pepper to taste. Let it simmer for 10 minutes. Place one slice of ham and two slices of Gouda on each chard leaf. Roll up and secure with a wooden skewer. Brown the chard rolls all over in a pan over medium heat with a little oil, being careful not to overcook them. Finally, pour the tomato sauce over the chard and grate some Parmesan cheese over it.
