Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g margarine
  • 175 g sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 200 g flour

  • 50 g cornstarch
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 100 g nougat
  • 1 pack orange peel, grated
  • Breadcrumbs , for the form

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

super tasty and fluffy

Beat the margarine and sugar together until creamy. Separate the eggs and beat the egg yolks one at a time into the margarine cream. Mix the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt and stir into the cream, tablespoon by tablespoon. Divide the dough in half and mix one half with the orange zest. Cut the nougat into small cubes and mix with the other half of the dough. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Fold in half of the beaten egg whites to each piece of dough. Grease the pan well and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Pour the light-colored batter into the pan first, then spread the dark-colored batter over the light-colored batter and mix in lightly with a fork (this will give the marble cake its pattern). Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (150°C fan-assisted oven) for about 75 minutes. Cover the cake with aluminum foil for the last 20 minutes to prevent it from getting too dark. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool first in the pan, then on a wire rack.
