Margarita with honeydew melon

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 60 g honeydew melon(s), the pulp
  • 90 ml Tequila (gold)
  • 60 ml Triple Sec
  • 50 ml lime juice, fresh
  • 30 ml syrup
  • 430 g sugar, for the syrup
  • 500 ml water, for the syrup

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

It’s best to make the syrup a day in advance. To do this, bring the sugar and water to a boil in a saucepan. Simmer for a minute or two and then remove from the heat. Allow to cool completely, transfer to a sealable container and refrigerate until ready to use. You’ll need much less for this recipe, so keep the leftovers in the fridge until ready to use. To make the margarita, put the melon flesh into a tall blender. Blend until smooth. Add the tequila, triple sec, lime juice and syrup and mix well. This amount makes one large margarita glass. It looks and tastes even better if you moisten the rim of the glass with water, put some sugar in a dessert plate and press the rim into the glass. Let it dry a little and then pour in the margarita.
