Ingredients
Spices:
- 2 size Garlic cloves
- 4 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1 tsp Lemon oil
- 1 tsp Lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 tsp Honey liquid
- 2 tbsp Paprika pulp, tube
- 1 tsp Lemon zest, organic lemon
- 4 turns Colorful pepper from the mill
- 0,5 tsp Red chilli flakes
- 1 pinch Ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch Cayenne pepper
- 1 pinch Ground cumin
- 1 tsp Sweet paprika powder
Herbs:
- 0,5 tsp Dried marjoram
- 0,5 tsp Dried oregano
- 0,5 tsp Dried savory
- 2 tbsp Mixed herbs fresh, chopped: rosemary, sage, lemon balm; Lemon thyme
Instructions
- Peel off the onion and garlic cloves, dice finely. Whisk vegetable oil, lemon oil, lemon juice, honey, paprika pulp and lemon zest together.
- Add onions, garlic, spices and herbs and stir in. Pour the marinade over the meat you want and distribute it evenly so that everything is well covered. Cover and let steep for at least two hours.
- For the preparation, let the marinade drain a little. Then fry the meat in the pan (no further addition of oil for frying is necessary) or cook on the grill. Finally season with salt and serve. Bon appetit and have fun trying them out.
- The marinade goes well with poultry or pork. I used it to marinate chopped chicken breast fillet for a gyros casserole. Recipe for the casserole in preparation step 5. Have fun trying it out!
