Marinated Chicken Skewers
The perfect marinated chicken skewers recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 18 Chicken inner fiets, approx. 700g
- 1 Lime
- 3 Garlic cloves
- 1 branch Rosemary
- 3 Stalk Thyme
- 0,5 tsp Fennel seeds
- 6 tbsp Honey liquid
- 6 tbsp Olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper from the grinder
- Rinse the lime with hot and pat dry, finely rub the peel and squeeze out the fruit juice. Peel and finely chop garlic. Rinse the herbs, pat dry and finely chop. Crush the fennel in a mortar. Mix the garlic, herbs, 3 tablespoons of oil, honey, lime juice and zest and fennel together.
- Rinse the inner chicken fillets, pat dry. Place wooden skewers in cold water for 10 minutes (then the meat is easier to peel off later). Place the fillets in a wave shape on the skewers. Cover and put in the marinade for at least 1 hour, or better overnight.
- Brown the skewers in portions in the remaining hot oil. Place all the skewers in the pan, close the lid and cook over low heat for about 8-10 minutes. Take out the skewers. Put the marinade in the pan with the frying fat and let it boil down thickly. Arrange the chicken skewers and drizzle with sauce.
