Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 3 packs of fish fillet(s) (matjeshering)
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 3 onions
  • 4 cups sour cream
  • n. B. Pepper – grains
  • e.g. milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 15 minutes

Dice the herring fillets. Peel the onions and slice them into thin rings. Then place both ingredients in a bowl. Add the peppercorns, bay leaves, and sour cream. Blend with milk until the desired consistency is reached. Cover and refrigerate for 12 hours before serving.
