Marinated tofu with radishes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 garlic cloves, coarsely chopped
  • 2 tsp rosemary needles, fresh
  • 2 tsp thyme leaves
  • 1 lemon(s), the juice
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp green pepper
  • Salt
  • 300g tofu
  • 1 bunch of radishes
  • 1 bunch of basil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 20 minutes

Halve the tofu lengthwise and then slice each half into very thin strips. Place the strips in a large, shallow bowl. Pat the washed herbs dry and mix with the garlic, lemon juice, salt, and honey. Whisk in the oil a teaspoon at a time. Stir in the green pepper and spread the marinade evenly over the tofu slices. Cover the tofu and marinate in a cool place for about 2 hours, turning occasionally. Trim and wash the radishes, then slice them thinly. Cut the washed basil leaves into fine strips. Arrange the tofu with the radish slices and serve sprinkled with the basil. Serve with baguette or toast.
