Marzipan Cake in Glass

The perfect marzipan cake in glass recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Butter
  • 300 g Sugar
  • 250 g Marzipan paste
  • 100 g Dark chocolate
  • 9 Eggs
  • 1 Vanilla pod (pulp only)
  • 250 g Flour
  • 0,5 packet Baking powder
  • Salt
  • Butter and breadcrumbs for the glasses
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C. Grease the jars with butter. Place the rubber rings in cold water.
  1. Cut the marzipan mixture into small pieces. Coarsely grate the chocolate. Mix the butter, sugar and vanilla pulp with the whisk of the hand mixer until frothy. Stir in the marzipan pieces.
  1. Separate the eggs. Gradually stir the egg yolks into the mixture. Mix the flour, baking powder and chocolate and stir into the egg mixture.
  1. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff. Fold the egg whites into the dough. Pour the dough into the glasses and bake in the oven for about 40 minutes.
  1. Take it out and seal the jars immediately. To do this, place a rubber ring on the inside of the glass lid. Put the cover on and secure it with four clamps.
