Marzipan Cake with Chocolate Icing

  • 150 g Margarine
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 250 g Flour
  • 3 tsp Baking powder
  • 75 ml Milk
  • 100 g Marzipan raw mass
  • 2 bar Chocolate


  • Mix the margarine, marzipan, sugar and vanilla sugar together. Alternately add milk and eggs. Then stir in the baking powder and flour until the mixture is even. Fill the finished marzipan cake mixture into a greased springform pan and bake at 200 ° C for about 45 minutes on the lower rail in the preheated oven. After the baking time, let the cake rest for about 60 minutes. Then take it out of the mold. After the cake is left to rest, break the chocolate into small pieces and place in a bowl. This bowl is then placed in a hot water bath to melt the chocolate. When the chocolate is runny, gradually spread it over the cake until it is completely covered.
