Marzipan Dream Pieces

The perfect marzipan dream pieces recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 400 g Flour
  • 100 g Ground almonds
  • 5 Egg yolk
  • 250 g Soft butter
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 100 g Powdered sugar + something to dust
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 100 g Marzipan
  • 3 drops Bitter almond oil
  1. Finely chop the marzipan and separate the eggs.
  2. Mix the egg yolks with the remaining ingredients and work them into a smooth dough.
  3. Then divide the dough into 3 portions and wrap it in foil in the form of balls and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. Shape the dough into 1 cm thick rolls and flatten them very lightly.
  5. Use a knife to cut into pieces approx. 2 cm wide and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper with a small gap between them.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 160 ° for about 14 minutes, let cool down briefly and dust with powdered sugar.
  7. Keep the marzipan dream back in a biscuit tin airtight.
