Marzipan heart-shaped wafers

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 300 ml milk (1.5% fat)
  • 200 g marzipan paste
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 200 g flour
  • some powdered sugar for dusting
  • some butter or margarine for the waffle iron

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Heat 100 ml of milk. Meanwhile, cut the marzipan into small pieces and stir in with a hand mixer until dissolved. Add the remaining milk, eggs, salt, and sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Sift the flour over the mixture and mix thoroughly. Bake all the waffles one after the other in a lightly greased (heart-shaped) waffle iron until light brown. Dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
