Marzipan muffins with plums

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 175 g butter
  • 200 g sugar
  • 125 g marzipan (grated)
  • 325 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 12 plums (plums, pitted and halved)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Makes approx. 12 muffins

Cream together butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt until fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time and mix well. Mix the baking powder with the flour and stir in alternately with the milk. The batter should be smooth and still rise from a spoon. Then mix in the marzipan. Pour the batter into the muffin tin and top with plum halves (max. 1 whole plum per muffin, otherwise the batter will be too mushy – depending on the type). Spread with a little batter to cover everything. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 20-25 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.
