Marzipan Nut Cake
The perfect marzipan nut cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 250 g Butter or margarine
- 160 g Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 200 g Marzipan raw mass
- 1 Vials Orange flavor
- 5 piece Eggs
- 200 g Flour
- 200 g Chopped hazelnut kernels
- 2 teaspoon Baking powder
- 4 Eßl. Whole milk
- Mix butter, sugar, orange flavor and salt at room temperature until creamy. Gradually add the eggs. Grate or cut the marzipan mixture very finely and add it as well.
- Add the flour, chopped hazelnuts and the baking powder and stir well. If the dough is not smooth enough, add the milk as a tablespoon as needed.
- Line a loaf pan with baking paper, fill in the dough and place in the oven that has not been preheated. Set the temperature to 170 degrees / convection and bake for approx. 60 minutes, possibly longer. Make a chopstick test.
- After cooling, cover with the chocolate icing and let taste.
- The cake tastes best the next day or later.
