Marzipan Nut Cake

The perfect marzipan nut cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Butter or margarine
  • 160 g Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 200 g Marzipan raw mass
  • 1 Vials Orange flavor
  • 5 piece Eggs
  • 200 g Flour
  • 200 g Chopped hazelnut kernels
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 4 Eßl. Whole milk
  1. Mix butter, sugar, orange flavor and salt at room temperature until creamy. Gradually add the eggs. Grate or cut the marzipan mixture very finely and add it as well.
  2. Add the flour, chopped hazelnuts and the baking powder and stir well. If the dough is not smooth enough, add the milk as a tablespoon as needed.
  3. Line a loaf pan with baking paper, fill in the dough and place in the oven that has not been preheated. Set the temperature to 170 degrees / convection and bake for approx. 60 minutes, possibly longer. Make a chopstick test.
  4. After cooling, cover with the chocolate icing and let taste.
  5. The cake tastes best the next day or later.
