Ingredients for 3 servings:
- ½ kg potatoes
- 3 tsp salt for the potatoes
- 6 Bockwurst
- ½ liter of milk for the mashed potatoes
- Nutmeg for the mashed potatoes
- Butter for the mashed potatoes
- Fat for the pan
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Peel, wash, and quarter the potatoes. Boil in lightly salted water for about 30 minutes until soft. Warm up the milk. Drain the potatoes and mash them or press them into a saucepan using a potato ricer. Gradually add the milk and stir into the potatoes until the desired consistency is reached. Season with salt and grated nutmeg. Cover the mashed potatoes and keep warm. Cut the sausages lengthwise. Make a cross-shaped cut on the rounded side. Heat a little fat in a pan and fry the sausages. Then serve with the mashed potatoes and a little fat from the pan.
