Mashed potatoes with green beans

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g potatoes, peeled
  • 350 g beans, green, fresh or frozen
  • 1 stalk of savory
  • 60 g butter
  • 100 ml cream
  • Salt and pepper, white
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Cut the potatoes into cubes. Place them in a pot of salted water, bring to a boil, and cook covered for about 20 minutes. Then cut the beans into 2-3 cm long pieces. Place them in a pot of salted water and cook covered until tender. Drain the potatoes, return the pot to the stove, and let them steam for a few seconds. Mash with a potato masher, stir in the spices and butter. Fold in the cream, adding more if necessary, until the mash has a creamy consistency. Drain the beans, discard the savory, and fold the beans into the mashed potatoes. Season to taste and serve.
