Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300 g matjes fillet(s)
  • 2 small gherkins
  • 2 eggs, hard-boiled
  • ½ small onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 100 g sour cream
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 10 peppercorns, pink
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • lemon juice
  • pepper

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 15 minutes

simple and tasty

Finely dice the cucumbers and onions. Finely chop the eggs. Cut the herring into small cubes. Crush the pink berries in a mortar. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Combine the sour cream, oil, a little lemon juice, salt, and pepper to make a salad dressing and fold into the ingredients. Let the salad marinate in the refrigerator for about 3 hours.
