Matjes Potato Salad

The perfect matjes potato salad recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 5 medium-sized Jacket potatoes
  • 4 piece Herring fillets
  • 1 piece Diced onion
  • 1 bunch Chives fresh
  • 1 bunch Fresh smooth parsley
  • 2 medium-sized Pickled gherkins pickled
  • 4 tablespoon Cucumber water
  • 4 tablespoon Sunflower oil
  • Black pepper from the mill to taste
  • Salt to taste
  1. Peel off the cooked jacket potatoes and cut as desired. Put in a bowl. Add chopped matjes. Onions, chopped parsley and chives cut into rolls, add pepper to taste, cucumber diced and cucumber water.
  2. Finally pour the oil over it and mix everything together. Maybe add a little more salt. Good Appetite.
  3. Let the salad stand for approx. 120 minutes. Good Appetite
