Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 5 herring fillets
- 3 m.-sized onion(s)
- 3 bell peppers, green, red and yellow
- ½ cucumber(s)
- 4 beefsteak tomatoes, ripe
- 4 tbsp herb vinegar
- 6 tbsp sunflower oil
- salt and pepper
- 1 pinch(s) of sugar
- ½ bunch of dill

Cut the peppers, tomatoes, and herring into small, bite-sized pieces. Cut the cucumber into chunks, not thin slices. Dice the onions. Make a vinaigrette from the vinegar, oil, and spices and mix with the remaining ingredients and the dill. Let the salad marinate in the refrigerator for at least four hours and season again to taste. Serve with crispy fried potatoes, boiled potatoes, or boiled potatoes. Note: Do not use herring in oil.
