Matjes salad housewife style

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g salted herring(s) (matjes fillet)
  • 2 large apples
  • 2 large onions
  • 250 ml sour cream
  • salt and pepper
  • some sugar
  • some mustard
  • 2 tbsp Dill, fresh, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cut the herring fillet into approximately 1cm pieces. Place it in a bowl. Chop the apples and onion into small pieces and add it to the herring. Add the sour cream and season with salt, pepper, mustard, and sugar. Finally, fold in the dill.
